1) US forces murder at least three in latest Caribbean strike
Source: CBS News
“The U.S. military has carried out another lethal strike on alleged drug smugglers in the Caribbean Sea, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Saturday. Hegseth, in a social media post, said a U.S.-designated terrorist organization allegedly operated the vessel but did not name which group was targeted. He said three people were [murdered] in the strike. It’s at least the 15th such strike carried out by the U.S. military in the Caribbean or eastern Pacific since early September. The U.S. military has now [murdered] at least 64 people in the strikes.” (11/02/25)

2) Serbia: Regime opponents, loyalists clash in Belgrade
Source: The Guardian [UK]
“Hundreds of riot police separated opponents and loyalists of Serbia’s autocratic president, Aleksandar Vučić, in central Belgrade on Sunday as political tensions boiled after a year of anti-government protests. Several thousand people faced off on both sides of the police cordons, with officers in riot gear standing in rows between shouting crowds who threw bottles and flares at each other. Tensions in Belgrade soared a day after tens of thousands of people joined a huge rally in the northern city of Novi Sad which marked the first anniversary of a train station disaster there that killed 16 people and triggered a youth-led movement demanding political changes, challenging Vučić’s firm grip on power.” (11/02/25)

3) Lawyers: Man shot from behind by violent gang members
Source: Lose Angeles Times
“Leaving his home in Ontario to work at a food bank Thursday morning, Carlos Jimenez pulled over to warn a group of federal agents that they should wrap up their stop of a car quickly because school-age children would soon gather there to take the bus, his lawyers said Sunday. In the following moments, the attorneys said an ICE officer shot Jimenez, a U.S. citizen and father of three, from behind. Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security, said at the time that Jimenez had ‘attempted to run officers over by reversing directly at them without stopping’ and that the shots were ‘defensive.’ Jimenez, 25, was charged in federal court with assault on a federal officer. A judge released him on bond Friday.” (11/02/25)

4) Trump says no Tomahawks for Ukraine, for now
Source: Reuters
“U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday that, for now, he is not considering a deal that would allow Ukraine to obtain long-range Tomahawk missiles for use against Russia. Trump has been cool to a plan for the United States to sell Tomahawks to NATO nations that would transfer them to Ukraine, saying he does not want to escalate the war. … Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte discussed the Tomahawk idea when they met at the White House on October 22. Rutte said on Friday that the issue was under review and that it was up to the United States to decide.” (11/02/25)

5) Crypto market sentiment stays in “Fear” following Trump-China deal
Source: CoinTelegraph
“A widely used crypto market sentiment indicator has remained in uncertain territory despite improved clarity on trade relations between US and China. It comes as US President Donald Trump reached a trade deal with China this week. However, some crypto analysts suggest the announcement could soon have a positive impact on the crypto market. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index, which measures overall crypto market sentiment, posted a ‘Fear’ score of 37 on Sunday, up 4 points from its ‘Fear’ score of 33 on Saturday. The slight uptick comes as the White House released a comprehensive statement outlining the trade agreement reached between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.” (11/02/25)

6) ICE gang considers “snitch for cash” scheme
Source: Juneau Independent
“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is considering hiring private bounty hunters to locate immigrants across the country, according to a procurement document reviewed by The Intercept. Under the plan, bounty hunters may receive ‘monetary bonuses’ depending on how successfully they track down their targets — and how many immigrants they then report to ICE. According to the document, which solicits information from interested contractors for a potentially forthcoming contract opportunity, companies hired by ICE will be given bundles of information on 10,000 immigrants at a time to locate, with further assignments provided in ‘increments of 10,000 up to 1,000,000.'” (11/02/25)

7) SpaceX launches private space station pathfinder “Haven Demo,” 17 other satellites to orbit
Source: Space.com
“SpaceX just launched a satellite that could help pave the way for a private space station in the very near future. A Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida today at 1:09 a.m. EDT (0509 GMT), on a multi-satellite rideshare mission that SpaceX calls Bandwagon-4. Among the 18 payloads on board the Falcon 9 is Haven Demo, a pathfinder for Haven-1, the private space station that California company Vast Space plans to launch to Earth orbit next year. … Vast’s Haven-1 will launch to low Earth orbit (LEO) atop a Falcon 9, perhaps as soon as the second quarter of 2026. If that schedule holds, Haven-1 — which can support up to four astronauts at a time — will be the first standalone private space station in human history.” (11/02/25)

8) NY: Cuomo & Sliwa closing gap on Mamdani in latest NYC mayoral election poll
Source: New York Post
“Radical socialist Zohran Mamdani’s lead over Andrew Cuomo has narrowed to just 6.6 points — the slimmest edge he’s held since July, according to a stunning new poll out Saturday. The new AtlasIntel survey has Democratic candidate Mamdani leading the field with 40.6%, and the former New York governor, a registered Democrat running as an independent, clawing up to 34% just days before Tuesday’s election. … The new poll also gives Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa his best showing, at 24.1%, his high water mark since a HarrisX poll in July that had him at 22%.” (11/01/25)

9) Canadian, Filipino regimes to sign defense pact to boost combat drills and deter China’s aggression
Source: SFGate
“Canada and the Philippines, both staunch critics of China’s increasingly coercive actions in the disputed South China Sea, were to sign a key defense agreement on Sunday that would allow their forces to hold joint battle-readiness drills and expand a web of security alliances to deter aggression, Philippine officials said. Canada and other Western nations have been bolstering their military presence in the Indo-Pacific to help promote the rule of law and expand trade and investment in the region. The moves dovetail with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s efforts to build defense ties with other countries to help his country’s underfunded military face a militarily superior China in the disputed waters. There was no immediate comment from China, which has accused the Philippines of being ‘a troublemaker’ and ‘a saboteur of regional stability’ for staging joint patrols and combat drills with the United States and other countries in the South China Sea.” (11/01/25)

10) UK: Police Arrest Two British Men in Stabbing Rampage on Train
Source: New York Times
“Two British men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a stabbing rampage on a London-bound train that sent 11 people to the hospital with serious injuries, the police said Sunday morning. Officials said they did not believe the attack was terrorism related, but offered no potential motive for the spree on Saturday evening, which forced a commuter train from northern England to make an emergency stop. Of the 11 wounded, four have been discharged from the hospital but two remain in ‘life-threatening condition,’ officials said on Sunday. The police said the suspects, a 32-year-old and a 35-year-old, are British nationals who were born in the United Kingdom.” (11/02/25)

Source: Fox News
“A deadly shooting unfolded in Texas Friday when an off-duty Harris County deputy opened fire on a man who allegedly tried to get into his car, as his young child sat just feet away. The shooting happened at about 2:45 p.m. Friday in Atascocita, about 20 miles northeast of downtown Houston, after an off-duty deputy called 911 to tell them he had someone at gunpoint, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. Maj. Ben Katrib said the deputy had just placed his child in a car seat when an unknown man, later identified as Darrius Williams, 27, allegedly attempted to get into his car. The deputy was heard giving multiple verbal commands to Williams, but he allegedly ignored the warnings and opened the passenger door of the deputy’s car. Katrib said the deputy opened fire, hitting Williams multiple times.” (11/01/25)

“The FBI, local and university police are investigating an ‘intentional’ explosion that occurred early Saturday morning on the fourth floor of the Harvard Medical School building in Boston. The explosion occurred at 2:48 a.m. EDT in the medical school’s Goldenson Building and triggered a fire alarm that alerted university police, The New York Times reported. A Harvard University Police officer responded to the building at 220 Longwood Ave. and saw two individuals running from it. The officer tried to stop the individuals but could not and then found evidence of an explosion on the fourth floor, according to The Boston Globe. … No one was injured during the incident, and the FBI is assisting with the investigation.” (11/01/25)

13) Trump threatens US military action in Nigeria over treatment of Christians
Source: Reuters
“U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday said he has asked the Defense Department to prepare for possible ‘fast’ military action in Nigeria if the West African nation fails to crack down on the killing of Christians. The U.S. government will also immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation and top oil producer, Trump said in a post on Truth Social. If the United States sends in military forces, it would go in ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to ‘completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,’ Trump wrote, without providing any evidence of specifics about the treatment of Christians in Nigeria.” (11/01/25)

U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that he would order fresh attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites should Tehran try to restart facilities that the United States bombed in June. 16) CA: Regime pulls the plug on flawed e-bike project once run by investigated San Diego nonprofit
Source: San Diego Union-Tribune
“California clean-air officials have ended the statewide electric-bike program that was badly botched by a San Diego nonprofit and left thousands of applicants frustrated and angry. In a statement, the California Air Resources Board blamed ‘budget constraints’ for closing out what was called the California E-Bike Incentive Project, which got more than $30 million to support subsidies of up to $2,000 for thousands of eligible riders. Most of the e-bike funds were diverted to another state climate-change program that is designed to help lower-income Californians replace their high-polluting cars with plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles. … The San Diego Union-Tribune first reported in June 2024 that the SANDAG e-bike initiative was troubled. Agency officials had begun investigating Pedal Ahead early last year for failing to comply with terms of the grant it had been awarded two years earlier.” (11/01/25)

Source: BBC News [UK State Media]
“Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said that he has apologised to US President Donald Trump over an anti-tariff advertisement which had used a Ronald Reagan quote. Last week, in response to the advert, Trump suspended trade talks with Canada and said he would impose an additional 10% tariff on Canadian imports. ‘I did apologise to the president,’ Carney told reporters at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in South Korea on Saturday. The commercial used a series of clips from former President Reagan’s 1987 national radio address, in which he argued that tariffs would hurt America’s economy.” (11/01/25)

Source: Al Jazeera [Qatari state media]
“An Israeli air strike has killed at least four people in southern Lebanon, according to the country’s Ministry of Public Health, in an attack that put more pressure on a nearly yearlong truce with Hezbollah. In a statement on Saturday, the Lebanese Health Ministry said the Israeli attack in the town of Kfarsir in the Nabatieh district also wounded three. The state-run Lebanon News Agency reported that the strike, which involved a ‘guided missile,’ targeted a car at about 2:15pm (16:15 GMT). The attack came a day after Lebanese President Joseph Aoun accused Israel of escalating strikes in response to his offer to negotiate a more lasting end to the cross-border attacks. … Despite the truce, Israel has kept troops in five areas of southern Lebanon and has continued near-daily air raids, repeatedly violating the truce. Israel claims it is targeting Hezbollah, but civilians, first responders and journalists have also been killed.” (11/02/25)

“let’s take [White House Office of Legal Counsel chief T. Elliot] Gaiser at his word for a moment: If the drone strike campaign in the Caribbean isn’t war, what is it? It’s not law enforcement. In law enforcement, there are investigations, charges filed, judicial warrants issued, and attempts at arrest. These drone strikes include none of those elements except, supposedly, investigations. 22) Thoughts on oligarchy and conceptual confusion
Source: The Peaceful Revolutionist
by David S D’Amato
“The concept of oligarchy is not new, but stretches back thousands of years and has taken on a number of related definitions in the ideas of political theorists and philosophers over time. Recent years have seen high-profile research from, for example, Martin Gilens and Benjamin Page, offering empirical support for the claim that rich corporate interests today wield dramatically disproportionate influence over U.S. government policy, compared to ordinary citizens. Studies consistently show that policies favored by powerful business interests and elites are much more likely to become the law of the land, even when these preferences conflict directly and sharply with public opinion or the preferences of non-elites. Our mainstream liberals hate nothing more than talking about this because their civic religion is to see the system, with its electoral charade, as valid and signifying something important.” (11/01/25)

“Trump and the U.S. national-security establishment are now accelerating America’s slide into authoritarianism with their violent and deadly regime-change operations in Venezuela. Using the federal government’s decades-old drug-war racket, Trump, the Pentagon, and the CIA are illegally killing innocent people on the high seas, engaging in CIA interventionism inside Venezuela (including, no doubt, state-sponsored assassinations), and now threatening to launch direct military bombing attacks on Venezuela itself. 24) The American Presidency Can Never Be Trusted Again
Source: Liberal Currents
by Dennis Lytton
“We cannot go back to anything approaching the old constitutional order, which already had been in a long, terminal decline. There is a deep distrust — both in the US and abroad; left and right — in the American presidency. … Trump has only supercharged its decline. MAGA has exposed its rickety foundations of norms and long-gone, favorable conditions. It’s inevitable that it will be replaced — either in actual written form or by becoming an irrelevant dead letter like other authoritarian regimes. Should we get the chance for the former, whether through an electoral win by a pro-democracy popular front or following a total collapse, we must institute a multiparty democracy (via proportional representation like most democracies) and an executive more like a prime minister than the imperial president we seem doomed to endure under our current constitution.” (10/31/25)

“Each government failure becomes an excuse to do more of what failed. It is sad but not surprising to see this expensive and destructive cycle of failure repeat itself with banking regulation. Politicians are now seizing on the failure of Silicon Valley Bank to further entrench government control in an already over-regulated banking sector. Congress is threatening to make things worse with a proposal to raise taxpayer-backed Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation deposit insurance coverage from the current $250,000 to an eye-watering $10 million for non-interest-bearing accounts — 40 times the current amount. This overreach will increase the likelihood of taxpayer-funded bailouts, reduce lending and reward bad decision-making.” (10/31/25)

They can control the machines, but they can’t control the human mind. So they want you to abandon your mind for the machines. They want you relying on artificial intelligence so you stop using your organic intelligence. They want your critical thinking skills to atrophy. … They want your sense of morality to waste and wither away. They want you perceiving reality through interpretive lenses controlled by plutocratic tech companies which are inextricably intertwined with the power structure of the western empire.” (11/01/25)

30) We All Live in a Village Now
Source: Yascha Mounk
by Yascha Mounk
“The culture of the second half of the twentieth century was in many ways defined by the worldwide growth of huge cities, and the relative anonymity they afforded — with all its opportunities to escape the constraining norms of smaller towns and villages, but also to engage in actions many would consider immoral. But this culture ended sometime in the first two decades of the twenty-first century. For even if you think that you are hiding in plain sight, with over 60,000 people surrounding you in a massive stadium, the power of social media can now expose you to a massive worldwide audience in a matter of minutes. In a literal sense, cities are still growing and the world is still urbanizing. In a cultural — or, if you will, spiritual — sense, the urban interlude of human history has come to an end. We all live in a village again.” (10/31/25)

31) President Trump Gets the Importance of AI
Source: Town Hall
by Derek Hunter
“In a world where there is very little actual human intelligence, it’s important for the United States to stay ahead of everyone else when it comes to artificial intelligence. That’s what I think, anyway. It’s always better to be ahead of the future than behind the past. Part of getting ahead is dominating in the advanced AI chip game, which we are, thanks in large part to President Trump. These ‘semiconductor’ chips are key to the world’s data and so many high-paying future jobs that to not fight to make the US the leader in this field would be negligence. That’s probably why the Biden administration seemingly did all it could to hinder their development.” (11/02/25)

32) That Head of Gold
Source: The Dispatch
by Kevin D Williamson
“A century and some before the American Revolution, the English republican Henry Haggar had argued: ‘If the God of heaven did in that age take away the Kingdom and Dominion of the whole earth from Nebuchadnezzar, that head of gold, and turn him out a-grazing among the Oxen, and give his kingdom to whomsoever he pleased; then let not men in this generation think it strange, though God Almighty hath taken away the kingdoms of England, Scotland, and Ireland (which are but a small part of the earth) from Charles Stuart, and given them to the honorable Parliament.’ … Americans have held crowns in contempt since before we were Americans. Not so Donald Trump, who enjoys portraying himself wearing a crown and encourages others to do the same.” (10/31/25)

33) Why We Shouldn’t Care What Bill Gates Has to Say About the Climate Crisis
Source: The Crucial Years
by Bill Mckibben
“I feel quite strongly that we should pay less attention to billionaires (indeed that’s rather the point of this small essay) so let me acknowledge at the outset that there is something odd about me therefore devoting an edition of this newsletter to replying to Bill Gates’ new missive about climate. But I fear I must, if only because it’s been treated as such important news by so many outlets—far more, say, than covered the United Nations Secretary General’s same-day appeal to international leaders that began with a forthright statement of the science. … In fact, I could probably just note that Gates, with impeccable timing, decided to drop his remarks at the same moment that Hurricane Melissa plowed into Jamaica, doing incalculable damage because of winds made stronger by the ocean heat attributable to global warming.” [editor’s note: Amazing how this screed is timed, even though I agree with the title – SAT] (11/01/25)

“My neighborhood is stalked by 12′ skeletons, huge spiders, and gigantic inflatable cats with rolling eyes and wagging tails. Animatronic witches cackle as I walk by. In one yard, skeletons in team jerseys are playing soccer. Another is full of disturbingly realistic gravestones. There are mannequins on porch swings with glowing red eyes. It’s ‘Spooky Season.’ The scope of Halloween has expanded from a single day into a weeks-long festival, creeping back into mid-September. Gone are the days of just putting out a jack-o’-lantern on the 31st to indicate you were open for business, trick-or-treating-wise.” (10/31/25)

36) “Read A Book”
Source: The Weekly Dish
by Andrew Sullivan
“One of the more maddening aspects of the rise of wokeness in the last decade was how some of the younger advocates for ‘social justice’ responded to criticism. ‘Read a book,’ they’d tell me, and roll their eyes. I was twice their age, had relevant degrees from Oxford and Harvard, but I could obviously only believe what I believed because I had never ‘read a book.’ No discussion was possible until I had ‘educated’ myself — a task they refused to expend any ’emotional labor’ on. … It wasn’t the differing opinion that upset me. One of my queerest character traits is that I love differing opinions. It was the assumption that none of this was opinion at all, but merely established empirical fact — of which I was blissfully unaware, probably because I was a bad-faith bigot, or had never picked up a book.” (10/31/25)

37) Can New York Democrats even DELAY the energy crisis their laws are creating?
Source: New York Post
by staff
“Some Democrats in the Albany may be starting to see the insanity of New York’s ‘climate action’ laws — but will enough agree to even delay the suicide pact? Gov. Kathy Hochul says she wants to ‘review all our options,’ including making changes to the state’s disastrous 2019 Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act — which set budget-busting, pie-in-the-sky mandates to slash greenhouse-gas emissions. Plus, some Assembly Democrats who once denied Hochul was banning gas stoves now admit that’s just what she’s doing — and demand she delay the ban. Yet it’ll be tough to convince the progressives who dominate the Legislature to roll back the law, since global-warming hysteria remains the rule on the left, especially among the donor class and other college-educated whites.” (11/01/25)

“An attack on Venezuela is completely unjustified and illegal. The president has no authority to start a war with Venezuela. An American attack will be a flagrant violation of the U.N. 39) The fall of Andrew reveals the folly of monarchy
Source: spiked
by Tim Black
“Coupled with the absence of anything like due process, in which allegations could be tested and closure reached, there’s no reason to think that there will be any let up in the pressure to keep punishing Andrew. This really is a trial without any discernible end, a media feeding frenzy that will never be quite sated. Still, the royal family’s Andrew problem didn’t come out of the blue. He is and always has been a liability, lacking in judgement and sense. Epstein wasn’t his only dubious playmate. … this provides a timely reminder of one of the main problems with having a hereditary monarchy in the first place. People as flawed, weak and idiotic as Andrew are given prominent public positions, and a great deal of wealth, solely according to having been born to a particular family.” (10/31/25)

41) China: The Art of Xi’s Deal
Source: The American Prospect
by Robert Kuttner
“In classic form, Trump concluded his hollow trade deal with Xi Jinping Thursday, and then changed the subject and the headlines. With no clear plan or rationale, he announced that the U.S. could resume nuclear testing. And, of course, the Asia trip itself was planned as a diversion from the government shutdown. Trump’s method is to drive us to distraction. A close examination of the agreement with Xi suggests that Trump got rolled; or more precisely, he rolled himself. Coherence and preparation matters. Xi and his advisers had plenty of it. Trump had mainly his own impulsivity. The latest sequence began when China denied the U.S. access to rare earth minerals whose production China dominates, as a response to earlier U.S. tariff increases. Then in early October, Trump raised tariffs on China’s exports to 100 percent. Both of these were rolled back in the deal.” (10/31/25)

“Decorum might dissolve during oral arguments on Wednesday in the Supreme Court. The justices might guffaw when Trump administration lawyers say: The president’s tariffs should be exempt from judicial review because they respond to an ’emergency,’ emergencies, like beauty, are in the eye of the beholder, and presidents alone are our designated beholders. 45) Justice is coming for perpetrators of Arctic Frost
Source: Fox News
by Mike Davis
“Staggering revelations came out this week concerning Operation Arctic Frost, the Biden Justice Department’s weaponization campaign against Republicans predicated on the non-crime of objecting to a presidential election. Democrats lodged similar objections in 1969, 2001, 2005 and, most infamously, in 2017 when they cited the discredited Steele Dossier to attempt to overturn President Trump’s victory. Yet, none faced charges. … There is no evidence that the Arctic Frost targets participated in any crimes that occurred at the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021. Still, Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland, Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, former FBI Director Christopher Wray and special counsel Jack Smith went on a fishing expedition targeting President Trump, his aides, the Republican Attorneys General Association, members of both chambers of Congress and many other Trump allies.” (11/01/25)

“Truth is often stranger and more horrific than fiction. The life of Edgar Allan Poe is one of those instances. Poe — the American writer who has left such an indelible mark and impact on American literature and culture; Poe — a child forgotten and abandoned; Poe — the master of horror stories; Poe — the sensitive, melancholic, and tormented alcoholic; Poe — the man who desired order rather than horror and chaos; and Poe — the man who appreciated humor. There are many sides to Edgar Allan Poe that, unsurprisingly, go beyond the famous daguerreotype photograph of a mustached man, with penetrating eyes and ruffled dark hair.” (10/31/25)

47) Trust Government Statistics, Not Government
Source: EconLog
by David Hebert
“‘“Expert failure’ is clearly having a moment. Pollsters, Wall Street analysts, tech futurists … all are facing demands to reckon with getting it wrong. Economics, though, seems to be getting special attention. Lately, this has metastasized into Orweillian skepticism of government data itself. It’s one thing to argue that economists have misread numbers. It’s quite another to claim that the numbers themselves are lies. Believe me, I understand the reflex. If it’s true that the government fails at so many things it sets out to do, why trust its statistics? But this cynicism commits a category error: confusing the government’s inability to solve economic problems with its capacity to solve technical problems.” (10/31/25)

“Remember when even right-wingers got mad at Obama for signing a National Defense Authorization Act that included indefinite detention powers? Remember when right-wingers at least had a part of them that got mad about what the government did at Waco and Ruby Ridge? Suddenly, many of these same people are happy to embrace the idea of federal agents running around arresting disabled American teenagers (yes, this happened) and trying to deport kids with cancer. When the right — ostensibly the faction most inclined to resist federal tyranny — suddenly thinks unleashing federal agents is the key to a better America, we’re definitely heading toward Big Government authoritarianism.” (10/31/25)

“Zohran Kwame Mamdani has arrived. Yellow cabs trundle up the line to pick up passengers while planes circle above us at LaGuardia Airport in Queens. By 9:45 p.m., the day’s torrential onslaught of rain has quieted, upstaged by a cacophony of taxi whistles, car honks, and just plain airport noise. Mamdani, dressed in a crisp-on-the-way-to-soggy black suit and tie, is traveling light tonight: No luggage. No umbrella. What he carries around are the commitments he’s made to make the city affordable for all. ‘We need new people who are going to bring change,’ said Mohammed, the 54-year-old Bangladeshi Uber driver who brought me to the airport and voted early for Mamdani. ‘He cares about the people, the poor people.’ People joke that his main opponent is cooked. But per his campaign’s email around 6 p.m. on October 30, Mamdani is taking nothing for granted.” (10/31/25)

Source: The American Conservative
by Matthew Petti
“The Axis of Resistance, the Iranian-backed bloc in the Middle East, fell apart almost a year ago. The victors have been a loose coalition of Israel, Turkey, and the oil-rich Arab monarchies, all of whom enjoy American backing. And the wars in Sudan and Libya demonstrate what kind of regional order is in the cards. Rather than embracing the vision of peaceful trade and non-interference that U.S. President Donald Trump laid out in Saudi Arabia earlier this year, the victors have been using proxy warfare to grab as much as they can from the burning wreckage of the Middle East and North Africa. The Axis of Resistance has been replaced with an Axis of Rape and Pillage.” (10/31/25)
