The enocean module used for the experiment is the tcm320. This is the official documentation: http://www.enocean.com/en/enocean_modules/tcm-320/

The freedomotic plugin for the "simple flyport" is ready and tested by openpicus team. It works well.

Now they will realease this json protocol http://openpicus.blogspot.it/2012/05/android-and-real-world-announcing-dooip.html. So they asked me to integrate this new "protocol" (I ignore all the details for now) into freedomotic plugin before to publish and advertise it on their community.

But their comment is very positive!

Great :)
About busware, I know them because they build this  http://busware.de/tiki-index.php?page=CUL
That is used by the fhem project (http://fhem.de/fhem.html) to integrate FS20 devices from Homeseer.
Also to use the cul to try to hack my blinds remote protocol is one of the projects on my queue (althought for being able to do that, probably I would need to learn how to program atm :( )

About enocean, however with the use of the picus, we still should need to create the freedomotic plugin, don't we?
So, I don't really know what is the real difference between creating a plugin to talk with the picus-enocean board, or another enoncean gateway.
(I'm asking because I'm interested on knowledge, please don't take it as a underestimation of the great work of openpicus and yourself)

Gabriel

I think you are right. In the next days they will publish all documentation with more details.

I'd like to obtain some hardware or anyway documentation, sdk for development. I their solution works well we can avoid java programming for enocean support. It's only tcp (or udp) management.

I don't know busware. I must read more about it.

Thanks for link

Mauro, so basically they are developing a enocean <-> ethernet gateway? aren't they?

On the past I had read the TCM130 transceiver documentation, just to figure how to comunicate with an enocean network, and it looked fairly easy, just connect the transceiver to a serial port on the pc, and the protocol was straightforward.

Also, what do you think about using this:
as an enocean gateway alternative?

Hi to all! Another update about the issue:

----------------------------------------------

Mauro we just made a couple of prototypes and tomorrow we'll show these devices to EnOcean in Nice (we are in their booth at Innovative City convention in Nice). After the event we'll publish schematics and pictures here.
Basically it's a mininest, very simple, with the EnOcean TCM320 gateway transceiver and a Flyport (Wi-Fi or Ethernet). The EnOcean module is connected by UART to Flyport and then you can send/receive EnOcean telegrams from/to EnOcean devices. Easy no?

I received an update from openpicus:

Mauro
we receive the PCB prototypes tomorrow and we'll start to make some testing (even if we already made some tests on a protoboard and everything is ok).

Regarding prices we need to receive an offer for the EnOcean transceiver for small quantites (to begin) but I think we'll have an idea of prices in 10 days.

We'll be together with them in the next Innovative Cities conference in Nice, we'll try to push them to have low prices to make this new gateway very convenient!

This is the module is with uart interface. You can not directly connect RS232 to UART. you will blew off the chip as the voltage of the UART is CMOS ie. 0 to 5V and RS232 is TTL ie. -12V to +12 V.
see point 3.4 in usermanual, it says maximum voltage is 5.5 V

furhter, the chip will need to work in Mode 1, if you want to have UART communication.
you need any RS232-UART converter if you are communicating over PC. If you are communicating with any microcontroller or microprocessor you can connect directly.

connecting pins are
ADIO6 or ADIO5 [UART INPUT]  - any one could be connected to TX of PC via converter.
ADIO7 [UART OUTPUT]              -  connected to RX of PC via converter

regarding communication protocol, though protocol is easy, proper sequencing need to be required.

any help needed let me know.
you are porting this on what ? PC or raspi
