Anyone know why when processing a PST or OST that has an embedded WMV file (as an attachment), that the wmv kills the soffice process on an Ubuntu install of Freeeed?
The office just keeps trying to restart itself and never gets beyond that point. I can't finish the process which means I can't search. Any ideas? I don't know if it's cause its a windows file and I don't know if I can just filter out wmv files in the processing step but it doesn't look like I can. Anything would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan

rRyan,

that sounds like a bud which needs to be fixed. We will work on it.

Meanwhile, you can try this workaround: unpack the PST using readpst. This is how FreeEed does it, and readpst is installed in Ubuntu. Then find the file with this attachment and remove the attachment. Then index unpacked files.

Not the most beautiful way, but may work for now.

Thank you much. I will try that.
