[CodeFest] Invitation to Participate in MathMania - Thou Shalt Compute...

Hello,

Codefest'11, the annual online international coding festival of Computer Engineering Society IT-BHU, presents Mathmania- an online mathematical puzzle contest, which requires a blend of sound mathematical concepts and fine programming skills. The contest is inspired by ProjectEuler and will contain problems of similar level.

Prizes worth 30,000 INR to be won. Besides, Certificates to top 50 participants.

Event Details:

• The main event is scheduled on Feb 27 at 2200 Hrs IST.
• Open to all, students as well as professionals.
• Declaration of Results on Feb 28 at 1800 Hrs IST.

Solve a sample questions:

Q: N numbers (1 to N) are arranged in a circular fashion. Starting from kth(less than N), every second number is eliminated from the circle. You need to determine the xth(less than N) number which is removed.
Small Case, N=1000, x=555, k=888.
Large case, N=999999999, x=55555, k=88888888
