I believe a major part of the problem is the actual location of our
clothing optional beaches themselves.
Mostly they are in fairly difficult to access places or at least in
locations which are very much out of the general publics view.

You could liken it to constructing hidden dark alleyways in cities
which quickly become frequented by muggers. You create the situation
that undesirables wish for and sure enough they will come!
This is the same thing that attracts the undesirables with their
unacceptable behavior in droves to our beaches.

All nude beaches should be made very public so that it becomes simply
impossible for these people to engage in these activities in the first
place or if they do persist they will be quickly dealt with in the
normal manner as they would if they were doing it in the main street
or any other populated public place.
I think that is the only real long term solution.

In many countries in Europe this is how it works and they have many
safe and very publicly accessible locations (beaches and campgrounds)
where all men, women and children can have a nice time out enjoying
the sun without any threats from the perverts.

Otherwise what we will continue to have is a never ending cycle of
creating opportunities for undesirables and then having the general
public complain about nudists and nude beaches and either having them
closed down or pushed further out of sight into areas even less public
and hence even more suitable for those causing the problems.

The more people feel safe and can experience the benefits of well
thought out and located nude beaches the more they will be supported
by the public!

Hi Eric,

My thoughts exactly. Unless Australian nudists uniformly come out of
the closet about their lifestyle and start being more publicly
defensive about it, nothing is going to change and we won't be able to
enjoy any beaches for our lifestyle at all.

Let's see all Australian beaches made clothing optional. :-)

Hi Dario,
yes unfortunately coming out of the nudist closet so to speak is
difficult for us when we fear being ostracised by our peers.
So basically I agree, if all Aussie beaches were clothing optional
then it would possibly be the only chance of it ever being fully
accepted.
