Senior QA Software Engineer-Automation
Testing client and server software applications with a focus on automation Testing content for quality and accuracy Providing reports on product compliance to test plans Providing reports on open defects and ensures developers comply with fixes Creating test plans for accurately testing and debugging software Developing testing scenarios for software releases Executing software testing for bugs Knowledge of software testing to include the development of manual and automated test plans/test scripts Analyzing and reporting test failures through superior problem solving skills Developing and performing user testing for objective feedback in software scenarios Staying current in best practices Strong analytical and communication skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or directly related year for year experience 5+ years testing and delivering a commercial software product in an agile environment 2+ years using open source automation tools
Experience in an agile development environment Experience and interest in open source automation tools (eg. Selenium, Cucumber) Experience working with and testing REST APIs and large scale web applications Experience with Atlassian systems like: JIRA, Hipchat, Confluence, etc. Software deployment and issue resolution Experience with Product integrations, upgrades, and conversions Working effectively and collaborating across product platforms Projects leveraging cross functional and cross functional teams Balancing and resolving conflict, resource management, timelines, communication tools, and changing priorities within projects Participating in projects, product development, and engineering teams within the educational technology, software, publishing, or education industries. Independent decision making, project leadership, communication, and adaptability Staying up to date on the latest software, tools, and methodologies within your career path
