As Vincent pointed out above, the alpha register isn't being displayed anywhere in those screen shots, so it's unclear what you would expect to change when you perform CLA, which is the CLear Alpha function. I'm guessing this is a misunderstanding what CLA does; if you're looking for the function that clears the stack, that's CLST. If it's something else, please clarify, and we'll try to clear things up...
