How do I add a linefeed character to the alpha display?

to Free42 & Plus42

I want to be able to paste text with a linefeed character from notepad into Plus42. I have tried using "LF" as the linefeed "character" but Plus42 strips it out. Is my methodology outmoded?

to Free42 & Plus42

You need to use [LF], not LF. That works in all versions.
