Contact your local Authority Health and Safety Dept. or a technical college
which does training classes. The most accommodating colleges are those who
have classes for people woith 'learning difficulties'

I have never thought of a minimum age law for using a bandsaw. I am
in the USA and while we think different, our current goverment is
attempting to control every thing.

Any way, I have my 6 year old grandson's using my bandsaw under
supervision. Dust mask, hearing protectors, saftey goggles, etc. They
need to stand on a stool, and I make them use a push stick or kevelar
gloves if they are going to be getting close to the blade.

Most of what is done on the bandsaw could be done on a jigsaw, and
just as easy and a lot safer. They start with a coping saw when below
age 6, but they just love it.

Hope you don't have problems.
