My name is Haakon from Norway.
I mailed Bae an idea fore a radar stealth ram a few years ago. Nothing came
out of that. However I have a thing fore Bae to look at. I see you now have
Marconi in your company. I have an idea fore a way to find small arms at
distance. Some range. This involves using a signal that in concept is as
long as the metal part of that weapon to be found. The signal will be sent
in localy. It is supposed to reverbarate on the metall. In antennaeffect.
And be strenghened. Through resonance. This then is supposed to be detected
localy. And tell our troops where the bad guys are. At some distance
hundreds of yards. The detection equiptment will be also local with the
troops. As long as one knows the parameters of what one is looking fore. One
might scan fore these kinds of weapons, present in the battlefield. If the
technic can be applied to larger obejcts than small arms is a question. This
might work best in none rural areas where no false returns would appear.
Like in Afgan- istan or similar. If found useful this might have civilian
applications. This is the main concept. I am in engineering terms not able
to bring it more forward than this. I am not a specialist in this. However
the stronger signal onto the object like on antennas, is what I want to
detect. Giving the capabilety of detecting enemy where optical isnt possible
I sent this to SINTEF in Norway. A research institute, They wanted to
conduct a viabilety test. I sent it to A Kongsberg Weapon guy. He answered
that it might be done. However cound take a range of frequencies to get
working. I think a Thales guy said the same in UK. Millivison told me to go
to the army research lab in US. And ICX said the same thing. Also saying
"Goes under home land securety" They all said it could work. Allthough it
has to be tested. So thats where I am. I sent it to the US embassy in
Norway. And I am now wondering if BAE/Marconi could be intersted. As far as
I know nobody stated it has been done this way before.
