That last song by Alex was really just excellent.

What a shame there's no Laura or Ruth up there
to give her a bit of competition tonight.

(Simon Cowell is now making me laugh by flannelling
like mad.)

It's a shame in a way that winning will be nothing to do with
talent/career potential/longevity. It is simply a measurement of how
well the acts can tap in to a regional interest (Eoghan)/demographic
(JLS).

I think this will become a great leveller - for everyone who is even
vaguely objective and recognises real talent and therefore votes Alex,
there will be half a dozen pre pubescent kids voting for Eoghan or JLS.

Still, 5 years from now, I expect only one of these acts to have a
career. Ask yourself, apart from switching on Christmas lights next
year, what long term potential do Eoghan and JLS have?

I will hope tonight that people will vote by collectively judging on how
consistent each act has been throughout the whole series however I have a
feeling that people will vote on how their performances are tonight and
tonight only - if that's the case then Alex has shone through big time
tonight and she should deservedly win. For me personally I had never heard
that Beyonce song and I started off shouting at the telly for God's sake
Alex why have you picked an un-known song but by the end she sung it so
perfectly with volume and in tune I felt it didn't really matter that I had
never heard the song I thing she still sung it wonderfully.

I fear that with Eoghan that some people find him cute - brave that he is so
young and can confidently get up on stage and sing with no nerves and with
JLS if its anything to go by where they went earlier on in the week and
girls getting trampled and people comparing the crowds to when the Beatles
were last around then I think that they have a huge following.

well my predictions are:

Eoghan Third - JLS runners up - Alex Winner but we shall find out
soon............

Andy.

Hope you're right Andy - that's exactly how I would call it.

That choir should win. They've been consistently good. :-)
