Ruth sounded as if she thought she was going when
she talked to Dermot in the first show.

I have to agree that Ruth should have stayed. Although I like Diane, her
voice and style is quirky.

In my opinion Eoghan should have gone last night. I really do not see what
people see in him. He is a weak singer who I think is out of tune a lot of
the time. Even his own mentor, Simon, was unimpressed withnhis first song.

A lot seems to be made of his age. The constant mention of him being the
youngest at 16.

Amen. She's actually less impressive than Same Difference and I never
thought I'd say that of anyone.

The long and short of this show is that talent and star potential are
peripheral concepts. The voters are chavs, kids & grannies that are too
clueless to form opinions based on whether the act can sell and become
enduring. Look at the winners of these shows over the years - only Will
Young, Girls Aloud, and Leona Lewis have had anything approaching a
career. Where are Michelle McManus, Leon Jackson, Shane Ward at now?
Panto?

You forgot Steve Brookstein ;-))

I believe that Shayne Ward is doing ok though, but mainly abroad.

Diana has a voice which works very well on a very specific set of songs.
But she a bit of a one-trick pony. Eoghan is the only one left for the
teenage girls to vote for. Presumably that is why JLS have restructured
with a cute teen-impressing lead singer now.

Ruth, at 25, is too old for the demographic!

I agree about Diana. Great querky voice that just has to have the right
songs.

Sad but True about Eoghan. I'm just clinging onto the hope that Vanessa will
Win and not him.

Shame about Rush but I have to agree. The show does seem to be aiming at the
younger demographic.

Correction. I meant to say Alex and not Vanessa.

God only knows where I got the name Vanessa from. Probably been watching too
much Reality TV and it's fried the Synapses.

He-he. Vanessa to win!

And Ermintrude should be runner-up.

Shame Dylan was booted out in the second show and I think Florence was
harshly treated by Louis Walsh.
