The arrangements are so overpowering and the number of people leaping
about on the stage so distracting that it is a job to actually hear
who can sing and whocannot anyway.
Once again though, Ruth sings far far better with her sing-off song
(although this time sing-off=clear-off). Perhaps it was because the
backing for the sing-off song does not wipe out the performer.
Frankly, when Eoghan sang his second song I couldn't hear him after
the half-way point.
And who was that terrible singer who began the Results Show? :-)
Had to laugh at that fat (sorry heavily challenged fella - got to be
politically correct these days!) fella being interviewed on the ITV2 show
afterwards from Gavin & Stacy - he said what was that Brittney all about I
have her CD, I wanted to hear her live but she comes on miming and all these
others (the x factor contestants) have to sing live to millions of people
every week. He wasn't impressed with Spitney Brears at all! :-)
love to think what the producers thought of his ranting and raving about
her.
Andy.
He called it right. A most peculiar performance with the lead voice really
low down in the mix. The sound just did not work with the action on
the stage -- it just looked like a lot of people rushing about at random to me!
