Seriously, people are starting to do that 'don't you think that's
enough now' thing that I've seen happen to other people - but when I
saw it happen to others, it was because they were starting to look
seriously differnet, not cos they were getting underweight. Strange
the responses we get - I'm feeling a bit of that myself. The person
in the mirror doesn't really look like me now, and nothing I own fits
me - it's weird. Went out to a local student club in a
horizontally-stripy crop t-shirt and some kind of hipster jogging
slacks on Saturday and nobody laughed me out of the room - weird, huh.
I quite liked being a bit cuddly, just not as cuddlicious as I got in
the summer.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, anyway - think I need it at the mo.

lol, try not to slide down a fireman's pole onto anyone's face and
they may not even notice . . . . seriously, Baul, you're pretty young
to be worried about your weight - my experience at work is that
teenagers are generaly 58 times better looking than they realise, and
43 times less photogenic. So avoid cameras on bad days cos you don't
really look like that!

How very true indeed.
When I was younger i was, according to people, very good looking. I genuinely
never actually believed them and thought myself as being ugly to normal,
depending on the way I felt. I was too skinny, gaunt, pale, not enough hair,
(I was terrified about going bald before I was thirty, but i didn't.
When i see pictures of myself at that age it makes me feel sad, because I see
someone who was 'handsome' but then the feeling about what I really thought
about myself comes flooding back. If only I'd have realised.......
Nowadays I've accepted that (my appearence) isn't ugly.

Weird isn't it? Looks seems to be mostly confidence to me these days
- so many people who you'd be happy to look half as good as think that
they are hideous. AMybe it would be better to be all backslapping and
self-affirming like the americans - seems unnecessarily cruel to
convince veryone that they're hideous unless they gain mass social
acceptance immediately without raising a finger.
