No, Pete doesn't suffer from Tourette's. Sufferers don't have
problems with stairs, only to then use them normally when the
charade becomes too much to keep up, and they don't use only
the one expletive, either. Pete's a fraud who uses his skills as
a human beat box to gain sympathy from others to avoid being
nominated.
Go Away
A lot of what you said is probably right I think he has it myself but is
hamming it up a bit. I know of someone who has Tourettes and someone who
specializes in it and I have been told it does not work quite like that.
Bloody nice bloke though.
Rather than playing amateur doctors & nurses here, why don't you contact a
professional authority on the subject, such as the UK Tourette Syndrome
Association and ask them to validate Pete's claims of having Tourettes?
Their email address is enqu...@tsa.org.uk
As far as I have observed, there is no one here qualified to say whether he
has or has not got Tourettes.
I peronally believe Pete does have Touretts from what little I understand
about it, but in my particular case I don't feel qualified enough to be able
to argue his case, so I don't, however it should be noted that not all
Tourettes sufferers swear at all, never mind just one expletive.
From their site:
"Big Brother
Tourette's has really hit the headlines with Pete's arrival in the House.
(In case you were wondering, we have no influence over Big Brother or who
appears in it.) We wish Pete well and hope he wins. We hope too that the
programme will raise awareness and understanding of what can be a very
difficult and distressing condition.
For our part, we are here to help everybody affected by TS, but with only 2
part-time staff and a temp, it is a huge challenge for us. Please support
our work with a donation. Please send cheques to us at TSA, Southbank House,

I'll go where I please.

So I see
I reckon I could get along with him I have not got Tourettes but I am as mad
as ten bastards at times. You got to learn to live with this shit. You
mentioned something about doctors I always had this thing in my head about
getting a white coat and a stethoscope and walking around a hospital.

A bit? Falling down stairs is hamming it just a bit? No.

So do I. Genuine sufferers are rightly appalled at his
charade.

No, he's a charlatan out to deceive well-intentioned
housemates and viewers by playing the victim of
something he isn't victim to, and all for cash.

And there you have it. Just because Pete allegedly suffers from
this malady, they want him to win on that basis alone. Thanks
for that. Pete, if anything, is a very clever manipulator who's
doing his very best to attract those kind of fools who made that
statement, and he's doing a very good job of it.
>We hope too that the

The only awareness he's raising is that he's a fraud who's now
finding it almost impossible to keep up his charade.
>For our part, we are here to help everybody affected by TS, but with only 2

And these 2 part-timers and a temp have been fooled by
Pete because they WANT to believe he's a genuine
sufferer.

Aha, and there's there reason for supporting his charade: cash,
just like Pete.
Look at it from this angle the whole point of being in there is to win the
money and whatever minor fame that comes with it. Now just suppose he does
not have Tourettes to the degree that he puts across, if he is able to con
everyone and thus win the money then his plan will have worked and he will
be the richer. I have seen people over-exaggerate medical conditions many
times when they have had to. I would not get too worked up about it good
luck to him if that is his plan. The name of the game is to WIN THE MONEY.
Maybe he needs the cash they are all out to decieve in some way, I cannot
criticise as I have not always lived on the straight and narrow and like
many have bent the rules when I have had to.
By dishonestly feigning a mental illness to gain the sympathy vote? Surely not!
Stick to your main point about Pete not having tourettes.
So they are supporting someone they believe has tourettes, but in fact they
are wrong and you are right?
Take my word on this I know a lot about mental illness which does not make
me an expert but I have a lot of personal experience, if he is feigning it
so what. I am not sure if Tourettes is a mental illness its a syndrome but
anyway there are far more dishonest acts taking place than feigning
something. Is it that big a deal anyway its a show for crying out loud they
all have their own agenda's. Richard has his, when he came in the house he
more or less said he wanted to punch dung with everyone and everything but
he took on the role of chief mouthpiece. Pete chose to fall down the stairs
when he came in and was loud, now he is like a shrinking violet.

I will move on to any point I wish.
>So they are supporting someone they believe has tourettes
They're doing much more than that. They're hoping he wins
SOLELY on the basis that he allegedly has a mental illness.
To them that's all that counts, and they made a statement to
that affect while asking for donations at the same time. It's
obviously clear that they see his charade as a means to get
people to donate money to their charity.
> if he is feigning it so what.
So what? What's the matter with you? Trying to fool his housemates
and the public by pretending to be suffering from a very real malady
is obscene and very wrong.
We see it from different points of view but are you 100% certain in your
professional opinion that he is pretending to be a Tourette's sufferer. I
would think if he was putting it on someone would have blown the whistle on
him by now through the media. To me its just a game that is running its
course it would not bother me if he was impersonating Judy Garland.

Fair enough. Wise thing to do when you're losing an argument I guess...

So they are supporting their own. Much like supporters support their own
football team in a match. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Anyway, it's clear you don't have a clue what your talking about so I won't
bother with you any more. Feel free to troll on.
