From police advice and due to threats against staff the Volks Railway
is closed until further notice from Paston place (Banjo Groyne) to/
from Black Rock (Marina). The reason: the Pikeys are in town. They've
taken over the eastern end of Madiera Drive, removed the bollards and
parked lorries, caravans and trailers on the grass, nearby roads and
car parks. They've only been there a few days and already the grass
is
littered with rubbish and household junk to say nothing of the animal
faeces from the feral and aggressive dogs running around. The next
fear is that they will start to uproot the railway tracks as scrap.
