Build the Northern Quarter ASAP!
Build the new Fratton Park ASAP!
Make Gunwarf more easily accesible for cyclists - provide more bike
racks.
Introduce better cycle lanes along the seafront.
Create a cafe plaza with reduced width road where the old nights clubs
were, opposite South Parade Pier - lets regenerate that area rather
than leaving it to rot!
Convert the Pyramids into a top class venue to top acts and bands.
Introduce a water bus between Gunwarf and Port Solent.
Permanent street market in Arundel Street during shopping hours.
Free parking after 6:00pm on seafront and at shopping areas.
Better traffic management - scrap 50% of the traffic lights - replace
with roundabouts.

My ten as a starter for ten.

A few quickes from me:

Ensure that at least one of the proposed new hotels has decent
conference facilities.

Bring in some traditional British restaurants.

Clean up both the Portsmouth railway stations, and maybe tart up
Fratton's as well.

Pavement repairs across the City.

Consider a city-wide one way system. We have the grid layout for it.

Get rid of *some* of the 20 mph restrictions.

Stop building new homes unless the infrastructure (GP surgeries,
dentists, local shops, emergency services etc) is capable of
supporting the populace.

The people we entrust to run the place have no idea.

Too right, especially the guy at Portsmouth City Council who plans our 'road
improvements'. He lives in Chichester and cycles here every day. Oh, and
he doesn't have a driving licence...
