Yes, it was an all girls' school. I believe it is now flats, or apartments.
I was wondering if there are any "old girls" in this Group.

Yes - I was there from 1955 to 1961 having left Northway Primary. My name was Sandra O'Brien (now Redfern). I have happy memories of the school, which had some wonderful teachers - my favourite being Miss Vickers (Latin) then Miss Etchells (English, Miss Rimmer (History, Miss Howlett (Maths) and Miss Greenshields (Music). When I started at AV, Miss Curry was headmistress, followed a year or two later by Miss Morton, who introduced gowns for prefects!

me too, same dates, such happy memories, remember your name, mine was Ann Scott. went back for a reunion visit more than 30 years ago and sat in my old class room with the picture of 'the Dodge of Venice still on the wall. Still remember terrifying Needlework sessions at 'Gorselands'., and Totty Flip the mad History teacher who later died of a brain tumour.
