Haven't seen him around here recently.
(Old Swan)
Is he ok or has he beeped his last beep?

I'm tempted to add him to the small pantheon of mad scousers.
(purple ackie and boot polish billy not to be discounted...)

Also to be spotted in Kenny Market are "Gary Professional" off the CB, and
some nutty East German called Manfred. It truly is the market of the damned,

Although I've not heard of and of the honoured gentlmen mentioned above, how
about the no smoking bike man? Saw him in town just a few days ago, would
have though he had died otherwise.

Cheers

The old fella with the air guitar and beard in town had actually strummed
his last air, there was a big article in the Echo in memory of him when i
was back there about 2.5 years ago. I'd like to get my hands on his guitar
now that he's famous, it could be worth something, its probably just been
folded away somwhere gathering dust.

Hi All,
Yes "The No Smoking Bike Man"
I was driving down Stonebridge lane,, Croxteth end ,
I saw a large deposit of paper and other implements scattered all over the
place close to the bridge, The bike man emerged from the mound, bike helmet
and all,,
I can only assume someone gave him a fright or knocked him off his bike, and
all his belongings where spilt all over the place

This has got to be the funniest thread on the newsgroups

beep beep, cherry blossom and the madman who lived down the disused rail
track in sandfield park (or was that an urban myth)

But I think the woman who played the piano down the side of Marks and
Spencer, beats them all hands down. As she used to physically cart the piano
from Rushworths everyday. I also heard a rumour she was also Jean Bote
(Bread's Ma) mum

I think that was me. I could never me arsed shaving in the 70s and had a vision
of a footpath to a supermarket.

Nah - really - I sorta remember that but I was about 8.
Actually - I did get my head kicked in in the tunnels so happy memories!

How about "Douglas" sometimes known as "John" or "The Doog"? He used to
wander around Bromborough hassling ppl for change, fags, beer etc.

You could tell when he was in town because he would break into someones car,
wind the seat right back and sleep the night in there!

I believe the Levers Tennis club got that fed up with him breaking in that
they gave him a key.

Police couildn't be bothered arresting him unless someone really complained,
because a dry bed and 3 square meals a day was a holiday camp for him!!

Anyways - anyone remember him / know if he's still around?
