The Yorkshire Ripper Cover-up - a reasonable updated appraisal

The Yorkshire Ripper cover-up is not an exact science in some of its aspects.
However, there is a core of undeniable truth which is - or at least should be - beyond debate.
That core of truth IS placed beyond debate by honest people, but not by the part-time stooges employed to buttress up the Peter Sutcliffe Myth.
Hans Ruesch taught me to name names of infiltrators if we want any progress. Three part-time stooges that come to mind immediately are: Keith Brannen, Michael Bilton, Richard McCann.
These three men - and others less prominent - are paid lackeys of a section of the British establishment, who are still embarrassed beyond measure at what Margaret Thatcher ordered them to do in 1981 to protect her glory rating on the international stage.
The activity of such stooges is called damage limitation. Or, in more modern parlance: "call in the cleaners."
Always look for UNEXPLAINED WEALTH in the affairs of suspected infiltrators.

THE CORE OF NON-DEBATABLE TRUTH IN THE YORKSHIRE RIPPER CASE
During 1978 to 1980, senior officers of the West Yorkshire Police repeatedly stated that there were two men committing the series of murders dubbed the Yorkshire Ripper killings by the press.
Older people look back with nostalgia to the Sunday Times 'Insight' team - a beacon of honesty and integrity in journalism, difficult to find today. Before Peter Sutcliffe's arrest, the Insight team reported George Oldfield as saying to them: "there is not one Ripper but at least two."
Ron Warren, deputy chairman of the West Yorkshire Police Authority during the Ripper years repeatedly stated: "It was known in the top echelons of the police that two men were involved in the series of murders." Ron Warren elaborated by saying there were two different blood types being left at separate crime scenes by two different killers. And Ron Warren made it clear that he was referring to the thirteen murders that Peter Sutcliffe confessed to.
This is non-debatable. Blood and semen don't lie.
And there are other authoritative statements to the effect that there were two Yorkshire Rippers, all published prior to Peter Sutcliffe's arrest.

THE NEW SCRIPT / THE NEW RELIGION / THE PETER SUTCLIFFE MYTH
As soon as Peter Sutcliffe - in his desperation to get away from Sonia - forced the police to arrest him and then showed willingness to confess to anything in return for better treatment - suddenly all the earlier references to 'two Rippers' mysteriously melted away and were buried - Winston Smith style - and a new religion was born: there is only one Yorkshire Ripper and he is Peter Sutcliffe.
The core of non-debatable truth - stated above - never went away. It was just ignored by all but a few. And so, by constant repetition over many years, The Peter Sutcliffe Myth developed a plausibility that it never merited. The Peter Sutcliffe Myth is just that: a false religion. It's Apostles are the aforementioned part-time stooges, along with their dupes, their useful idiots.
I have to admit that - outside the core of non-debatable truth - we often are dependent on the *educated guess* when discussing the likely truth about this fascinating case. But that core of non-debatable truth is always there. This IS correctly called *THE YORKSHIRE RIPPER COVER-UP*, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
