a short ballast train allowing passengers (for a small supplementary
fare) to ride in the brakevan on the branch.
Middleton Park Halt.

Howill 2000 write
To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the first trains operating in
1758, the Middleton Railway will be holding a special gala weekend on
the 20th and 21st of September, 2008.
Some unusual locomotives will feature during the weekend many built in
Leeds, on regular trains to Park Halt and along the Balm Road branch.
The latter will feature a short ballast train allowing passengers (for
a small supplementary fare) to ride in the brakevan on the branch.
Every available locomotive will be in traffic at some point over the
weekend. Trains will operate from 1000 to 1700 hours, and the last
train of each day will be an "all-line" train running non-stop from
the
Balm Road loop to Middleton Park Halt.
