Think I may have a leak in my drainage system (soil in area always wet from
4ins to arms depth) thinking of having the drains inspected by cctv, is
this mega expensive and would it normally find a cracked or broken pipe.
Would the soil that's wet smell if the leak was from the drains though this
pipe only takes water from my and the neighbours kitchen.
The water main which is in the same area has been completely replaced this
didn't solve the problem.
Thanks
Steve

It's relatively expensive although they usally find most defects in
pipes. A cheaper option would be to get a plumber in to do a drain
test - it's basically blocking off the drainage system with a plug,
filling up the system with water and checking if the water level drops.
It's not a hard test to do yourself.

It may smell if you put a lot of food waste down it, there again,
it may not :-)

At the risk of getting my head shot off, where are you as we have a drain
camera and could do your survey for you.

Please e-mail me if interested.
