Have just installed coving, on the two longest runs I have had to join
the coving. I have filled and sandpapered but can still see the
joints. What is the best method?

Many Thanks

The method I have used, and I can see the join if I look REALLY hard (but I
know where it is) is to scrape the joint out with a Stanley knife blade into
a 'V' shape about a 1/4" wide at the top of the 'V'. sand the edges of the
'V' to remove the paper bits, fill with coving adhesive, allow to dry, sand
and paint. The best results are acheived if the two lengths are joined at
45 degrees instead of 90 but it may be too late for this if your coving is
already stuck up!

Best bet is long coving, 5m is available and will do almost any domestic
job, joints should be 45 degree and if done right are invisible, even if you
know where they are.
