Yaris won't start after accident

Hi, I have an 06 Yaris 1.0 which has been in an accident at the near side
front wheel. The Engine compartment has not been visibly damaged but car
will no longer start? Key turns alarm on and off OK, ignition lights up as
expected but engine won't turn over? There is an audible electrical whine
under the bonnet when the ignition is on (this may be normal?) but nothing
happens when key is turned to crank engine.

PS NO airbags have gone off during the accident.
Any clues please very gratefully received.
