Good to hear from you Fox,
I just picked up a great pot, free
All Stainless,it has a drain spiket
on the very bottom. It stands about three and a half feet tall
and is on about four inch legs Im guessing its about 10gallons us.
On the top it has a to my dismaya (I havent measured) a 4-5 inch pressed
opening, it used to have a glass tube but that broke.
I need to look into how to reduce it to preferibly to a two inch for a
reflux tube..
You know .......I might just make a big pot still that would work,
Cool thanks for the advice. Your the best
The only question is should I use two 1700 watt elements or gas?.
No question electric....Thanks Again

These postings seem a little confusing?
Or is it me? Where's the original thread about the 2 1700 Watt heaters?
Anyway, I use, as I have probably mentioned before a 3KW heater for my 5 UK
Gallon boiler with a solid state infinitely variable controller. This is
capable of handling 6KW if required but I find 3KW quite adequate. Were
talking 240 Volts here for anyone not in UK.
Cheap to build as well using a cheap light dimmer and replacing the Triac
with a 25 Amp 240 Volt and attaching it to an aluminium box which makes an
excellent heat sink.
