The International Day of Disabled People, 2002
BE PART OF HISTORY IN THE MAKING!
The International Day of Disabled People has been celebrated since 1993.
Next year will be its tenth anniversary. 2003 will be The International Year
of Disabled People. At this year’s International Day we will be claiming our
right to have a history, to have it recognised and made available to
everyone to learn from. In 2003 we will be holding the world’s first
Disability History Week, the end result of the work which will be taking
place from this year’s event until the next. This is work that has never
been done before and we are all getting very excited about what it could
mean for Disabled People everywhere.
