I have an Alcatel USB Speedtouch ADSL Modem which is performing badly : If I
do not get on the net within a few minutes after I switched on my computer,
I get the message "the external access server does not react" (in dutch : de
externe toegangserver reageert niet)
And after that, I can only get on the net after I have fully restarted my
computer and gotten connected immediately.
I have allready tried to disable norton internet security and antivirus, but
this has no influence.
This defect is troubling me for more than one year now.
It stopped however for a few weeks ... after I got a new computer. But
recently I moved my old hard disk back to my old computer, after having
istalled it in the new unit for easy file transfert. And shortly after
taking out the old hard disk, the above adsl defect starts reappearing. I do
not know if there is a connection - but it started shortly after moving the
disk
Can anybody solve this mystery ?
