Removed stupid NIS 2006

Twice in the last three months I booted up the desktop and
laptop to get a message sub is expired. Please purchase a renewal.
The expiry date is fixed at 29-09-2007 (DUHHHHH)
so in both cases had months to go but had to p**s around and
reload the software, first time a complete renewal. second time a help
person from the India area old me to set time back to 29-09-2006
and reactivate it.worked but deleted three DLL files from other
programs and adobe acrobat would not work, had to get the DLL from
www.dlldownload .com and reinstall in correct place (a mission).
Never got any reason why it expired early despite pressing for an answer on
both occasions.Both PC 's have differing serials numbers.
Worst was that I decided to remove Norton's from the laptop to
re-install it and the sluggish unit went to a frighteningly fast speed.
Boot up was 50% faster, file opening was faster and general tasks
were faster.email download was so fast. other scans DID NOT take 100% of CPU
so other use was never viable at that time of scanning under Norton.
another fact was that Norton systemworks 2005 and internet security 2006
never found anything during virus scans, or crashed the Pc's
or just froze it dead.
installed Mcafee internet security 2007 and speed still really fast, scans
at max 25% cpu and found 27 items of interest on the desktop and 18 on the
laptop. everything is fast and without delays or waiting time.
Then I rang an IT guy at a big local fim and he told me their policy
is to remove all Norton products as they have too many issues to
keep it.
oh why are these facts not widely publicised.
