Chi mi traduce questa espressione?

Ogni tanto leggo in forum americani o inglesi questa espressione:

(Something) is where it is at.

E' un'espressione che non riesco a tradurre.

Qualcuno può aiutarmi?

This slang expression gained widespread currency in the sixties as a hip
way of stating that the speaker understood the essential truth of a
situation: I know where it�s at. Or more commonly: You don�t know where
it�s at. Another meaning is to infer where "everyting is happening".

Don�t say, "I put my purse down and now I don�t know where it�s at"
unless you want to be regarded as uneducated. "Where it is" will do fine;
the "at" is redundant.

Questa espressione di gergo ha guadagnato la valuta diffusa negli anni
sessanta come senso dell'anca di dichiarare che l'altoparlante ha capito
la verit� essenziale di una situazione: So a dove �. O pi� conunemente:
Non non sapere a dove �. Un altro significato � di arguire dove "
everyting is happening".

Non dica, " I put my purse down and now I don�t know where it�s at" a
meno che vogliate essere considerato non istruito. " Where it is" far�
benissimo; il " at" � ridondante.

If I may intervene, a friend of mine told me the in the aforementioned
case it can be "translated" with: *Something* is the real thing. Or in
the case of a place: *Somewhere* is the place to be.

meaning. Translate it, if you want.
