CW Beacon on 26.936

I've heard this previously but never paid attention. This morning I again heard a CW beacon and took the time to check it out.

On a 2.5 to 3 minute cycle it sends a 10 second tone, then "A A L". I was going to pin down the cycle better but they apparently went off at 1645Z.

Has anybody else noticed this? Any idea what it might be or where it is?

is that 10m experimental schit? i believe most beacons are done in the 13 range

No; 10m starts at 28 MHz. This one is below CB channel 1.

And you'd be surprised how many beacons are NOT in the 13 MHz range! Lots of them around 4 MHz and a bunch around 8.
