Once again the "AAL" beacon on 26.936.1 is active. I'm hearing a 10 sec tone followed by A-A-L in cw at an interval of 90 seconds (1.5 minutes). Weak but readable signal.

I've noticed this in the past but didn't give it any attention. Last time I heard this it disappeared at 1645 UTC.

Anybody got a clue about it? I also note that the HF Beacon Society website is For Sale, so no help there.

Actually, I'm hearing "NCU" this morning, rather than "AAL". And I *think* I'm hearing other cw beacons really faint in the background - but they're so weak I cannot ID them.

When did 26936.1 or .2 become a beacon frequency? Anyone else hearing these things?

I am not hearing it but found this link on a Google search:  inmcc.istrac.org/Monthly/INMCC_OpsReport_Sept06.doc

Another correction to my previous correction: The beacon I'm hearing this morning is NCD! (in case my code is really that bad, it's   -.  -.-.  -..  I *think* "U" is ..-  Been way too long since I knew the code)

It's still in there at 1552Z. We'll see if it goes off at 1645 as AAL did.

I am hearing a whole cluster of beacons around 26965.500 right now.
There are at least four separated by a couple hundred Hz each. They
are either dashers or QRSS. First time I've noticed them.
