Dear FreeKiteSim users and developers,
Today an updated version of FreeKiteSim was released, basically for the first time version numbers were introduced with some older revisions of the code being Version 0.1 and 0.2. and the current version being Version 0.3.
In this release a new feature was added namely logging. This will allow the user to record flight data and replay them with the kiteplayer. The usage of this feature is explained in the readme.
Furthermore the speed of the simulation should have increased by a factor of two approximately. This was done by precalculating a lookup table for the cl and cd values and then using linear interpolation between the precalculated points. But the speed is not yet sufficient to run in realtime on mid-range computers, so some more improvement is needed.
