Hi Gang,

I'm compiling a list of all the places that offer free wireless in
Athens. Actually thinking about a custom Google map. If you all know
of a place, email me so I can keep tabs and start building the map.

Best,
Rachel

Cool! I've posted to the DC404 mailing list [0] asking if anyone has
recommendations of existing websites we could use to publicize this data.

[0] The Atlanta Defcon group, I figure there must be some wardrivers there.

If you are considering any places, not just the public project that the city and UGA are working on, then I can offer two right off the top of my head:

The "Manhatten" Lounge on the corner of Hull and Hancock (downtown) and "The Office" lounge in the Homewood Hills shopping center.  The Manhatten location reaches the sidewalk out front fairly well, The Office doesn't get outside of the establishment.  Both places are pretty nice about letting you hang out and use your computer, of course they are happier if you buy a beer or something... The advantage of the Manhatten is that they leave theirs on all the time so you can also use it out front if they are closed.  As I think of or find more "war-driving" places, I will post them.  Sorry I missed everyone this weekend, this was my one weekend/month that I go to Florida.  Next one will be on May 15th.  I am currently sitting on Tybee, I decided to take the long way back this time.  It's like "I have to hurry home for....what?!!"  I do plan to be back later today.

Take care all,

Mark
