We know we have to decide on a 'real' name for out group. Before we
do anything we need a name, since without one fund raising,
publicizing, and getting started on a 501c3 is can't happen. We got a
lot of great feedback and interest at last week's event and I don't
want us to loose any of that precious momentum.

My vote is for use to call the organization 'Rebooters' in general.
Short, sweet, and implies technology. This way we can have chapters
if we grow outside the local ones such as 'Boston Rebooters' or
'Providence Rebooters'. Similarly general like 'Free Geek' but not at
all infringing on their name brand. A bonus is the domain is
available and be safe, I went and picked up the domain www.rebooters.org.

We can play with the R3 concept (Reuse, Recycle, Reboot, etc...) as
our tag line. I think as far as creative, the whole 'Reboot' concept
provides a ton of directions we can take our branding.

Any objections?

sounds cool, I like the thing you just said with the R3... it would be easy to make a logo for; Reuse, Recycle, Reboot.. good slogan.

hopefully, i will be able to get a little more involved next month. I posted a few fliers around, for the event that took place on the 1st. hope it helped. I was unable to attend due to military duties. :-(

I like the suggestion.  Could we discuss during the meetup?  For location, how do people like BeanTowne Coffee House in Kendall Square?

Sure, but I'd like to get moving on things sooner than later.  I don't know about you guys, but if I wait 3 weeks before moving, my motivation level will less!
