NOVEMBER 23, 2007

Year Two of of Eric's wrongful imprisonment begins.

Today, Friday, November 23, marks the beginning of a 2nd year of the injustice of Eric's illegal conviction; the injustice of Eric's illegal imprisonment, the injustice of the Appellate Court in their nearly 9 month delay in ruling past what the law declares, and the injustice that all those truly responsible for Doris' murder enjoy a justice department that is simply not interested is pursuing the investigation that would lead to truth.

Eric is a "political prisoner." He is suffering nothing short of psychological torture in the current confinement situation through sensory deprivation; he has not allowed out to see the sun in over 35 days, he is not allowed to open or look out the small window in his room; and, extreme limitations on human contact.

Every day, we continue to tell the story. Every day, we hear from new friends who are outraged, confused and inspired by Eric's story. Every day, you tell the story with us... and we thank you. Yet, Eric's story of injustice continues... we must continue to tell the story! One of the most common questions is, "What can I do to help?"

Here is what you can do: Read, Write & Tell the Truth

Read what has happened to Eric after the trial. You have to read his most recent correspondence to be truly fluent in the details of Eric's case and the level of injustice he has experienced.
(August 8, 2007 - Letter from Eric with history of the case)
( November 10, 2007 - Letter from Eric with current conditions)

Write your congresspersons, repeatedly.

Tell the Truth about Eric's story

  • Display one of Eric's t-shirts, bracelets or bumper stickers. Many of you have written Eric about both the power and privilege of telling others about this injustice.
  • If you are a student, tell your class, make a presentation using Eric's correspondence, talk to students at other schools to increase awareness and support.
  • If you are a faculty member, use Eric's situation as a real-time case study in international relations, politics and injustice.

Thank you for your strong support!
