Hello all

The Free Debate and Western Chances training program is well underway.
Three sessions have already been completed for Kurunjang Secondary
College (expect blog post soon).

The next school seeking training is Copperfield College. Dates are the
6th, 13th, 20th (and possibly 27th) of August. There are three further
schools to be scheduled for later in the year.

Copperfiled College has asked for the following, (which is a bit more
like the programs for VASS or AMES, as opposed to the the Bayside "how
to debate" plan)
"These are the kinds of things we'd like you to cover:
How to structure a speech
How to deliver a speech
How to engage an audience
How to time a speech
How to use a microphone
Using body language"

Thus far, Liz has been doing all the training by herself and, if
possible it would be great for some of our newer members to attend and
learn from the Shearlash. All training is in business hours, so I am
looking at the students.
Please let me or Liz know if you would like to be involved, and how
much time you have available.

This training session is a combined training session for the Sydenham
and Delahey Campuses, and Liz tells me they are being conducted at
Goldsworthy Avenue, Delahey, 3037. Thanks to everyone who has
volunteered so far. Also, two further schools have made requests - The
Grange School and Kealba College, so expect that in August/September.
