Hi Elliot,
That would be cool!
I do remember there was someone else with a mesh network somewhere in
Bondi Junction,
but don't remember who (though he used Meraki I believe, from back
when they were cheap).
I myself have a single Open-Mesh router, so haven't been able to set
it up in a mesh, but I mainly (still) use Meraki, and haven't used the
Open-Mesh in a while. But back then it was easy to set up. Only thing
is, first time you plug it in, and it connects to the internet, it
updates itself, and you will have to wait 5 minutes before you can
actually use it to wirelessly connect to (so don't freak out that it
isn't working :)
If you could write down anything you experience setting it up, and
maybe do a blogpost about it, that would be much appreciated.
If you're on Facebook, you could also try the facebook group to ask
for group buy.
When you do add one, please add it to
http://icanhazmeraki.net/ too.
Thanks for getting in touch!
Regards,
JJ
