Have you used role="note"

I'm curious about role="note" and how that would be best used. It seems like it would be analogous to the HTML5 aside tag. Or should it be for something more granular? I didn't find any code samples and don't even know if it is supported by anything.

Note sure, never seen that before. I"ll try it out on iOS at some point. At first I thought a textbox like object but then with you comment I see what you mean. Maybe it be something you'd use for something like a tooltip.
