DAY ONE. Arrival, Kigali International Air Port

You will be welcomed by our guide at Kigali international airport,
Rwanda’s main airport. Rwanda is a small but beautiful hilly country
of about 26,338 km2. The country has a population of about 11.1
million people who belong to three distinct tribes namely the Hutus,
Tusis, and Twas. The official languages are French, English and
Kinyarwanda.
From the Airport the guide will drive you to hotel we have booked for
you. There you will check in and rest for the day. After 2 Hours
provided you arrive early, you will be picked up from your hotel and
take around Kigali for a city tour.

SECOND DAY: Gorilla trekking

The Rwanda gorillas are live in Virunga volcanoes national park
LOCATED North West of Kigali (Capital city of Rwanda), and just a 90
minutes drives from the capital. The park is really a mountain
(Virunga Mountain) and covers an area of about 8090 km in three
countries (Rwanda Kenya and Uganda)

The gorillas you will see are mountain gorilla of the species Gorilla
beringei beringei. They have great shiny black fur which is well
groomed as they spend most of their time grooming. You will trek a
family of gorillas and Rwanda has 7 gorilla families open to
tourists. These are ;Susa family with 38, 13 group with 21, Amahoro
family with 17, Kwitonda family with 10 members, Umubano family with
9, Hira family with 9, Sabyinyo family with 8.

You will spend 0ne hour with one of these families, taking pictures
and seeing how they live and interact with each other. Since you will
be trekking in a mountainous area you should be fit walk up a mount
for some 1 to 5 hours searching for gorilla family. This is because
they are free to move around the park.


THIRD DAY : Golden Monkey Trek.

On this day you will wake up early and have breakfast then go for a
trek with the guide to see Rwanda’s golden monkeys. Rwanda has a group
of habituated golden monkeys which tourist can observe for an hour.
You will see them jump among the branches of the trees in the forest,
groom each other and so on. After seeing the monkeys then you will
return to your accommodation and check out. and transfer to Nyungwe
national park.


FOURTH DAY : Chimpanzee Tracking

Wake up early and have you breakfast then proceed to track
chimpanzees.

This park you will visit is in the south east of Kigali and only a 2
hours drive . The park is a dense Afromontane forest which sprouted
before the ice age. The temperature range between 0 to 30 degrees
Celsius and it has small springs flowing through it. The walking
tails are well maintained and here in this beautiful multi-green shade
dense forest are 13 species of primates for you to see. These include
chimpanzees and monkeys. There are groups of habituated mangaby
monkeys and blue monkeys.
