how do i empty a mysql database for a particular fredistrano project?

Hi,
i have a cakephp app on my own linux server.
1 have 2 copies of it 1 is production, 1 is staging. and as such i
have 1 database for production and another for staging.
i would like to empty the production database and repopulate the
database whenever i redeploy for the production.
and do the same for staging whenever i redeploy for staging.
currently i already wrote php code that will do the database emptying
and repopulating in the afterScript.
but since i have 2 different deployment projects, both will run the
SAME afterScript yes?
how do i make sure that only the right database is emptied and
repopulated?
