What: Green Drinks Fredericksburg
When: June 26th, 2008, 6PM-8PM
Where: The Loft, 1005 Princess Anne Str.
Who: Caryn Self-Sullivan, "Doc Sea"
Why: Caryn will be back from spending 6 weeks in Belize, where she
presented the results of her PhD research to local Belizeans, teaching
a 2-week field course on manatees & dolphins, and coordinating the 2nd
Annual Marine Science Quiz Bowl for Standard V (7th grade) students in
the Belize District. Caryn will present a short presentation of her
summer field season in Belize, including a new video of her first ever
whale shark encounter!
Special thanks to Bill Micks for giving a history of the Rappahannock
at the May session - what a great evening beside the river! Best/dwd
