Stop the PATH

We are opposed to the PATH powerline crossing Frederick County. The
line as proposed will seriously impact our entire housing deveolpment
of single family homes. The PATH, as proposed, will put over 1500 KV
of power over our homes, requiring the relocation of our development
entry and the posibility of two families being forced from their
homes. We have attended two seperate meetings with the PATH
representatives and they have told us that "rural people like power
lines because they break up the trees". We already have one power line
in close proximity to our homes. This will double the power and size
of the lines. The power from this line is not for any use by Frederick
County. We are only a money saving short cut for the power company.
All we get from this power line is reduced property values, reduced
tax base, potential health hazards and a 200 foot wide scar across the
county. We oppose the PATH power line.
