ARES Net Monday 22 September 2025, 7:30pm

This is a reminder that the weekly Frederick County ARES net will be
held Monday, September 22nd at 7:30pm on the 146.73 W3FDK repeater.

This week the topic of discussion will be: Great ShakeOut Earthquake
Drills for Ham Radio operators in Frederick County on Oct 13, 2025 at
8pm after our ARES net on that date. For this exercise we will use
Winlink in any format, including Telenet (no radio connection required -
just internet). For windows computers I suggest
Winlink_Express_install_1-7-26-0.exe found at

https://downloads.winlink.org/User%20Programs/

This can be used with any of our winlink drills and to receive our
bulletins even if you don't have a radio. Just use Telenet! We will use
the Standard Form, USGS, USGS DYFI.txt.

Bulletin #81 has been sent out with more details of The Great ShakeOut
Earthquake Drill.

Please send an acknowledgment of receipt.

After the net please send me a rehearsal filled out USGS DYFI form using
Telnet. We can go to the UHF/VHF/HF route on the actual drill date if
necessary.
