Larry asked for a recap of the weekend.
Friday we won 2 out of 3 games. Our women often playing savage. Thank you to Michelle Moss, Anna, Jen, and Gretchen for rocking it. 2nd game we put 4 points on the board against the team that eventually won the tourney. Our only Loss of the day. 3rd game we got some added help and it also rained on us. Bill had his canopy open on his van to help us out a bit. Glad the rain held off till then.
Saturday we went 1 and 3. Had we not gambled away 3 points against the poker stars during their on field double or nothing games, we would've gone to uni. Don't gamble kids! Poker stars had great games and spirit.
We had points where the oldest player on the field was twenty. We had a point where 3 boys and their mom's played. It was awesome.
Going 3-3 we edged out the Mary Washington's team and made the 2nd bracket as the bottom seed. A pretty foreign area to the mother's. So we went into the Sunday bracket playing for 9th place overall in the tourney.
Sunday the Rochester team wandered in late having closed out the party at 2am. Devin was sure to share that he was there too and was still on the field ready to go. We controlled the game and made it to the semi final.
Second game was against Cruble Down Economics/girl scouts, that we lost to on Saturday. We came out strong and controlled the game. With the lead, plenty of hucks were thrown and plenty of general foolery and fun was had. We won this game as well to get to the second bracket championship. Unfortunately we lost Gretchen and Elle N. To injury during that semi final game.
So the decision was made to play spike ball to decide the winner and enjoy the great weekend that was had. That gave us 10th place overall at fools out of X teams.
Mike, Ron, and Devin themed out a great weekend again with our "Who wants to be a mother" game show.
We went 5-3 in ulti games during the weekend.
This Mother enjoyed the play, the spirit, the sideline, and all the great vibes that always exist here in Fred. Till next year
