Stupid!

I think its stupid that we can't access certain sites anymore. Whats
next your going to start blocking facebook. I feel like I am in
school!!

When we first introduced the free WiFi network technology was not readily available to do web content filtering. We have received pressure from law enforcement to block certain sites and unfortunately with web content filters it is an all or nothing situation when it comes to pornography. Please remember that the use of Fred-eZone is not only free and on a best effort for network support, but the use is also anonymous for users. Children can use the network as well as adults. Just like when one goes to the Library to use the free Internet, certain best practices are put in place and that is all we have really done and should have done a while ago. The blocking is done by an appliance not a person. If you are trying to access a site you think should be accessible then let us know and we will add the exception list There is no way we are going to please everyone with this decision, our goal is to apply best practices to a free public WiFi network and make it safe for all citizens including children and youth. The site Mechanical Turk site is not being blocked, I just tested it. Can you let us know which url you are trying to go to please.

That site doesn't seem to have anything that would get it filterd fred-e gotta stop playing with these filters or let the public know if your locking every site the why bother giving a so called free internet if everything is filterd now try to get yourself a web browser that has annonymous browsing and everything should work what gonna happened next on the fred-e is the walmart site gonna be filterd out lol they sell underware there this filter is gonna prouve to be the worst thing ever why is that someone may ask how many of you has Download a cheet for a game well those will be filterd and many more but get a private browser and everything should work don't know for how long

Well the filters are affecting alot of sites. Sometimes I can't access
Facebook or even twitter, and there is no problem with both of them
sites. I have a 4 bar connection, so thats not the problem. The
problem is that stupid filtering system!

Bear with the complaints, you have done the proper thing.  Glitchs will occur and will be ironed out as they pop up.  The porn surfers are just upset.  They will have to pay Rogers or Bell for that now!  I'm sure you can ferret out the legit complaints as with www,mechanicalturk.com whose website seems quite legit to me.
