Hi,

Since Saturday morning we have strong signals from the access points,
but NO internet at all.......we have 3 channel numbers we can see from
where we are 9,4, and 3.....all of them have no internet at
all.....and have been that way for days.......i am sat on the green on
the north side of the river connected to a point on the other side to
make this post...

Please if your feed for the access points on the north side of the
river has gone down could you please fix it......

Thank you in advance......

Neil.

we have been keeping our attention on that location. That spot alone,
we've been to 3 times in the past month. It's hard to get a good line-
of-sight because the trees are becoming taller than our equipment and
the poles they're placed on. we have been having the same problems at
a few more spots around the city and we're trying very hard to stay
ahead of it.

Hi there.....well its 4 days solid with no internet on our access points.........

Has someone been out to reboot/restart/ re establish the cross river link ?

I cant remember the link being down for this long.....it has worked thru torrential rain, blizzards....gales   ect.....but then at 11.57am on saturday morning.....the internet dissapeared from our access points..........

I hope this does not mean we are without fredezone untill the fall............

I have had to walk to the library to send this mail btw......

Please re start the cross river link as this could give us weeks of use........fredezone has been solid and reliable for weeks  and somtehing happened about noon on Saturday to stop it working........i cant imagine the foaliage got any thicker just at the point......

Thanks in advance....

Neil.

Hi Neil,

As Patrick mentioned a couple of days ago, we are working on it. We
have many nodes around the City that are affected by the leafing out
of the trees in the summer time due to the nature of the wireless back
haul technology we're using. As well, like all electronic devices, we
occasionally have equipment failure that requires repair or
replacement. Unfortunately, the intersection of Gibson and Union is
one of these locations (for one of these reasons - we're not sure
yet). The plan is to have a technician visit this access point this
week.

If you are coming off of that access point usually, there is another
one in Henry Park that might be closer than going to the Library. It
is located near the pool. That access point has been operating well
so far this year.

Please keep in mind that Fred-eZone was never intended to work as
stable residential Internet but rather to cover common public areas
around the City. If you can normally receive Fred-eZone in your home
then that's great but for reliable home Internet we recommend
subscribing to Internet from an ISP.

Thank you and hopefully you will be back to the web soon.

Mike
