Hi Neil,
As Patrick mentioned a couple of days ago, we are working on it. We
have many nodes around the City that are affected by the leafing out
of the trees in the summer time due to the nature of the wireless back
haul technology we're using. As well, like all electronic devices, we
occasionally have equipment failure that requires repair or
replacement. Unfortunately, the intersection of Gibson and Union is
one of these locations (for one of these reasons - we're not sure
yet). The plan is to have a technician visit this access point this
week.
If you are coming off of that access point usually, there is another
one in Henry Park that might be closer than going to the Library. It
is located near the pool. That access point has been operating well
so far this year.
Please keep in mind that Fred-eZone was never intended to work as
stable residential Internet but rather to cover common public areas
around the City. If you can normally receive Fred-eZone in your home
then that's great but for reliable home Internet we recommend
subscribing to Internet from an ISP.
Thank you and hopefully you will be back to the web soon.
Mike
