you are hired by a big company for 7 months contract and every month you will be getting one link from the chain of 7 gold links. But the company constrained that you will be getting one chance to break one of the link. Once it is done, you won't get chance for breaking other link. 

Which link would you break to get number of links for your working month ? 

Seems like some goldbar problem :P try it ..

Yes it is same as gold bar problem. Breaking one link will suffice to
distribute the rings for each month.

Assuming you are not selling the rings to some 3rd party until all 7
months. :)

yes, it's an ring .. it doesn't have two conections ...

If its ring based then it would be same as goldbar problem, cut the third ring
