The primary form of debugging for me is logs and printf() - old fashioned way :-)

How about putting break points at appropriate places !!!  ... :)

It seems Rajesh is looking for tools like "JDebugTool" for java..

Other tools:
log4j for logging,
Junit for unit testing,
Metamata's Audit and Metrics products for static analysis,
Metamata's Debug product and Karmira's BugSeeker for dynamic analysis and manipulation.

Hey,

Please have a quick look at TOTALVIEW.
This is very helpful on UNIX platforms, I have used it on AIX where
debugging was nightmare.

Just missed mention one thing, i think this is mainly for languages C,
C++, and Fotran.
