Subject: Trek to Kalsubai (The Everest of Maharashtra) on 31st July 2011 with Outdoor Adventure Management......
To:

Dear trekkers and Routine breakers,

Its trekking time once again… another trek. Another place and this time it's going to be the

Most Awaited Trek of the Monsoon season -- “Kalsubai -‘The king of Treks’- The highest peak of the Sahyadris in Maharashtra.” in the Igatpuri region.

We are glad to announce that "OUTDOOR ADVENTURE MANAGEMENT" is organizing a Trek to Kalsubai (The Everest of Maharashtra) on 31st July 2011

“Kalsubai” is the highest peak of the Sahyadris in Maharashtra.
More about the destination:
Peak Height : 5420 ft. (1,646 mtrs.)
Type : Hill forts
Grade : Medium

At the summit there is a small temple of Devi Kalsubai. This being the highest peak, it commands a beautiful view. The vastly spread out backwaters of Bhandardara attracts ones attention from the top. To the north of the mountain range forts such as Ramsej, Harihargad, Brahmagiri, Anjaneri, Ghargad, Bahula, Tringalwadi, Kavnai can be seen. To the east one can spot Aundha, Vishramgad, Bitangad, to the west Alang, Madangad, Kulang, Ratangad (south west) and to the south Pabhargad, Ghanchakkar, Harishchandragad can be seen.Geographically this place is located above the Kasara ghats on the Mumbai-Nasik highway.Since Kalsubai is extremely famous, enough effort has been made to make this trek easy. There are steel railings, ladders and steps are made too at places where it is difficult to climb. There is a symbolic temple at the top which is made on in the remembrance of Devi Kalsubai.
