TWO (2) POSITIONS: Seasonal Technician, Aquatic Invertebrates – Native Species Conservation Unit, Colorado Division of Wildlife.
START & END DATE: April 27th through Oct 20th, 2026. Start and end dates are somewhat negotiable.
PAY RATE: $18.55 to $19.95 per hour (dependent upon education and experience) + $1.50 cost of living adjustment
LOCATION: Fort Collins, CO (housing not provided)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist the native aquatic invertebrate species coordinator in a variety of projects where emphasis will focus on documenting the distribution of native aquatic invertebrate species in Colorado. Primary work will include compiling and georeferencing existing data from literature, publicly available databases, and regional museum collections. Additional duties as assigned include but are not limited to: sampling adult aquatic insects, rearing aquatic insects to adulthood, curating specimens for identification, general construction and maintenance of field and lab equipment, disinfecting sampling gear, compiling taxonomic literature, and other duties as assigned.Please see the attached announcement for more details.
